Would definitely choose to book again through Global Journeys   1 , Australia, Apr 2013
My tour consultant Hannah was extremely helpful and always provided very timely responses to my queries. Hannah was extremely helpful in suggesting a solution when I had advised I had booked my tour but on the incorrect flights/itinerary (very silly of me!). My 8 day tour from London to Rome was amazing. Our tour guide was amazing, his knowledge, professionalism ...read more and genuine care for the groups experiences was second to none. He spoke 5 languages which was a bonus and it definitely was an asset in resolving any issues experienced by the group. The Tour guide was able to manage 40 of us with ease....no-one got lost, and if they were late, he would bend over backwards to make sure they weren't lost. On our final day, we received the most amazing and thoughtful gift from our Tour guide, not chocolates, or a travel voucher etc....but an amazing limited edition souvenir from the Vatican. During the tour we had other local guides join us, they were equally as enthusiastic about there job and oozed a pure passion for their home city. Would definitely choose to book a tour again through Global Journeys. Thank you!
So pleased we went on this tour   0 , Australia, Apr 2013
So pleased we went on this tour. The itinerary was perfect for us. Our guide Eddie was a wonderful host - very knowledgeable & entertaining. The accommodation was comfortable, clean & well-presented. Breakfasts were amazing and included meals very good. Coach comfortable with frequent enough stops for comfort. Most of the tourers were mature travellers ...read more with a few younger people - all were pleasant company. Would not hesitate to recommend both Global Journeys (thanks Hannah) and Trafalgar tours.
A trip to remember!   1 , Australia, Feb 2013
We decided to go on this tour for our honeymoon. Frances from Global Journeys was very helpful and lovely to deal with. She was also able to price match another quote we obtained, which was fantastic! The tour itself is exactly as described, that is, a Whirlwind Tour of Europe. It gives you a taster of the highlights at each country. We travelled in ...read more winter, which meant it was very cold (snowing, and below zero temperatures), but the snow capped scenery is really quite beautiful and different. We had the added bonus of not having to compete with peak season crowds. Our tour director, Emile (pronounced 'A-Meal'), was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable on each destination we travelled to, and where time permits, he was able to show us a few extra local spots (called 'hidden treasures'). These are spots not mentioned in common travel guides and we would have not otherwise visited them had we travelled by ourselves. He was also very humourous and did a great job of answering our questions, looking after us, and keeping the tour running smoothly. Our driver Jorgo was very friendly and professional.

We had a mix of 4 and 5 star hotels, most of which were in fairy central locations (short public transport ride to the city). A few hotels were a bit further from the CBD, however it is a compromise between location and hotel quality. All the hotel rooms were of a large and comfortable size (a nice surprise, given we're talking about Europe!). The tour is very fast paced, and you have a short period of time at each location. There are some windows of free time, where you get to walk around and explore (or shop!) Get ready for 6am wake up calls, and hours of traveling on the coach. This is of course, what is required to cover the number of locations that this tour provides. The tour showcases the best sights and sounds each country has to offer.

We ended up taking part in all but one of the optional excursions, and they were worth every cent. Rather than spending time shopping, the optional excursions are additional sights and activities, which I think really adds to the tour and I would highly recommend them.

We travelled with a great bunch of people of all ages, from all around the world. At the end of the tour, I must say we were tired from the packed schedule but we had a fantastic time. Looking back, I cant believe we covered 6 countries (and even more cities) in just 12 days. We have visited some amazing places, had wonderful food and met lovely people - it is a trip to remember! With Trafalgar, you do pay a bit more for the tour itself, but the tour is top quality and highly professional.
An unforgettable experience for all three of us!   2 , Australia, Jan 2013
'Best of Italy' by Trafalgar was indeed the best of the best for experiencing every bit of Italy, especially for the first timers like us! Not only it included gems of Italy, but of hidden treasures of Italy as part of optional excursions at a very affordable price. Global Journeys was the only travel agent in Australia, offering such a package in January ...read more (Winter) and my tour consultant, Frances was also able to tailor flights and other travel needs to suit us and attended to many of our inquiry professionally and kindly. It was just an unforgettable experience for all three of us!
A lively itinerary but did not detract from the overall experience   0 , Australia, Dec 2012
The tour director Gerry Baines was excellent, his attention to detail, consideration for everyone on the tour was magnificent. We truly were spoilt having Gerry as our tour director. The bus driver Rudi was also great, we were never lost and never ran late, all this and he never referred to a GPS. The tour was advertised as having a lively itinerary ...read more this was certainly true but did not detract from the overall experience. It has only served to make us want to go back and spend more time experiencing certain regions.
We loved every single moment of the trip   0 , Australia, Dec 2012
Lots of variety, weather was great, sunshine and snow what more could we have asked for. Thank you Georgie for helping me organise our fantastic trip. I can highly recommend Trafalgar tours.
Far exceeded my expectations of a coach tour   0 , Australia, Dec 2012
This tour far exceeded my expectations of a 'coach tour'. Would do another Trafalgar tour without hesitation. The guide we had, made the whole experience a pleasure. The help I received from Global Journeys was excellent and we would also book with Frances again.
Wonderful time, great atmosphere   0 , Australia, Dec 2012
Had a wonderful time, great atmosphere. Our Tour Director, Maria, was wonderful, polite, friendly and always there to help. She also had an amazing amount of knowledge of every where we went. This was our first organized trip and we would highly recommend it.
We had the most wonderful holiday   0 , Australia, Dec 2012
First day we were on the coach at 5.15am - early I know, but from there on it was the most fascinating wonderful holiday we have ever had. The group of people on the coach ranged from young to older and we all mixed well. Our Trafalgar tour director Peter made each day wonderful, fitting in extra surprises to please us. The hotels where very nice, clean ...read more comfortable and nice pillows to lay our heads for a good sleep. The breakfasts where wonderful to get us started for a new day of adventure but by the 13th breakfast I could not look at scrambled eggs. A wonderful tour and I would recommend it to any one. I must also thank Yvonne for organising our tour. First time I have every booked a holiday online and to start with was a little worried with not having face to face contact, but must say everything went so smoothly. Thanks!
Staff went above and beyond what would be expected   2 , Australia, Oct 2012
This was my first tour, and I found the tour director to be extremely helpful. Definitely 'above and beyond' what would be expected. All our needs were catered for and the excursions and stop-offs were a great way to experience new countries. Probably the only negative would be that all the optional excursions were really great and spoken highly of ...read more by the tour director, so it would have been great if some were included in the tour and did not incur an extra cost.
Thank you for all your help Global Journeys!   0 , Australia, Oct 2012
Thank you for all your help organizing my trip to Italy. I had such a wonderful time - loved Rome and found Italy such a great place for a holiday. Everywhere was interesting and exciting. The tour was well organized and Maria was such a great Tour Director - so knowledgeable and experienced. She was a delight and such style! The local guides were excellent - very pleasant and so knowledgeable and passionate about their areas of expertise. I would certainly recommend this tour to other people. Thank you again.
I like that we stayed 5 nights in the same hotel   0 , Australia, Oct 2012
I enjoyed the Milan and Italian Treasures Tour. There were only 17 of us travelling on the tour because end of season I think. The weather was still warm. We saw lots of lovely places. The restaurants that Trafalgar took us to in Italy served wonderful food. I like that we stayed 5 nights in the same hotel. Would recommend this tour.
Well organised tour.   1 , Australia, Oct 2012
A very well organised tour and the Tour Director was up to the very high standard we have had before.
Excellent tour at a pace which suited us much better   2 , Australia, Oct 2012
Excellent tour at a pace which suited us much better than the Swiss tour we booked alongside this tour which only had one night at each place (although it went to a lot of great places). Hotels were good except for Venice (lido) which was a bit too small. Suggest Milan should include the Last Supper. We went back to Milan to see it. If you were going ...read more to drop anything, it might be Pisa with a bit more free time in Milan maybe including a tour of La Scala. The local guides were also excellent.
Coach and hotels were of a very high standard   1 , Australia, Sep 2012
Our tour guide has excellent knowledge of all the places we toured. The coach and hotels were of a very high standard.
Tours through the markets in Fes were unbelievable   0 , Australia, Sep 2012
The tour was fantastic. We saw everything that was possible to see in the available time. The coach was comfortable and the tour leader managed the seating extremely well. If I had to criticise anything at all, it would be that we didn't have enough free time to explore independently, and the early morning starts and late arrivals back at the hotel ...read more gave us only time to eat and sleep rather than socialise with the others on the tour. The food in the supposedly 4 star accommodation in Salamanca was absolutely appalling - cold stew! I would recommend that the final night's dining is to take place in Madrid rather than 2 nights earlier. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to get a taste of Spain and Morocco. The tours through the markets in Fes were unbelievable - and a highlight of the trip.
A wonderful experience - as the tour name suggests!   1 , Australia, Sep 2012
Even though this tour was 'lively' pace we found it quite relaxing. Everything was arranged for us and everyone was so calm. Our tour guide was wonderful and we never felt like she rushed us along to see the next thing. I feel some of the 'optional' extras should have been included as part of the tour, especially as we sometimes felt that you would ...read more miss out on great opportunities if you didn't take them. We were a little disappointed that the optional tour of the Louvre wasn't offered - but you can't have everything :-) Southern France (Avignon in particular) were our highlights as was Monet's garden. Overall a wonderful experience - as the tour name suggests! And a great introduction to France for first time travellers.
Just what I needed to orientate myself to Europe   0 , Australia, Sep 2012
Just what I needed to orientate myself to Europe. Easy to book online, all our questions were answered efficiently, good amount of info given.
The tour was fantastic!   0 , Australia, Sep 2012
The tour was fantastic! Tour guide Clare was very informative, helpful and nothing was ever a problem. The group was always ready on time and at no time did we have to wait for anyone. Would liked to have had an extra hour or so in some places but with so much packed in I know that wasn't possible. Hotels were top class. The 'Be My Guest' dinner was ...read more extraordinary. To sit down to dinner in a country manor was a memorable occasion that the hosts opened their home to strangers. The only downside was that I lost a 4GB SD memory card that contained 800 photos pretour and first 5 days of tour. In hindsight I shoulda/coulda/woulda have had the card burned to a dvd. Luckily I bought postcards at each stop but that doesn't replace the photos of me in different places. Well dome Global Journeys I will definitely tour again and also recommend you to friends and colleagues.
