Barrier Reef Discovery     4 , New Zealand, Sep 2023
Global Journeys and particularly Rachael were beyond helpful and easy to deal with, even though we were in different countries - Thank you Rachael. It was the first cruise my husband and I have ever been on and so have nothing to compare it with but we did enjoy the cruise. The entertainment was top notch and the food was good too. I would recommend ...read more the drinks package even though we did not drink anything like 15 drinks a day - it is still the cheaper option. Our balcany room was great - I even saw a mother whale with her baby on her back swim right below our deck - unfortunately I did not have my camera - pooh! I recommend booking excursions with P&O because it is difficult to match times with external companies and we had to forgo one of our bookings or miss the boat. All in all - a great experience - thank you.
Cruise was awesome     4 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2023
Our cruise was awesome. Weather was fabulous. Saw a few whales and some dolphins. Airlie Beach was lovely as usual. Will go there again but will probably do another one a bit longer. Global Journeys were awesome and Jemma was fantastic - will definitely deal with her again.
Pacific Explorer   8 , NSW, Australia, May 2023
We went from Fremantle to Cairns on The Pacific Explorer leaving on the 18th May 2023 for 10 days. There had been an engine problem the day before and the arrival time was delayed by 4 hours, because of this it was a bit of a shambles boarding. Our accommodation was upgraded to E deck that is Level 6 and in a very convenient position. It was on the ...read more same floor as The Dragon Lady and Angelo's restaurants and one floor above the Waterfront restaurant. The shopping arcade was also on that level and it was only a small flight of stairs up to the entertainment level or one flight down to the coffee lounge.

The cabin was an older style compared to the rest of the ship that has been refurbished, but it had plenty of room and huge window, however the bathroom was very small. There were 4 free restaurants with The Pantry being a buffet style while the others were À la carte. Plenty of entertainment but the two main shows cost $20 also the Bingo was $30 for 5 cards, so worked out very expensive if you played twice per day as some people did.

The weather was sunny every day, but windy and there were high seas at Exmouth , so the shore tours were cancelled and money refunded. Kuri bay was the next stop and was a pearl farm only excursion that was unsuitable for anyone who was unsteady on their feet as it was a rough unpaved path going up hill, that meant that many people could not go ashore as it was only for the guided excursion or a sea plane ride.

Darwin was a dock with a variety of excursions and Port Douglas was by large tender and offered a variety of excursions as well. Cairns was the final port and we no problems disembarking, although it took a while to catch a taxi. I would be happy to travel with P&O again presuming that their other ships are of the same standard.
Cruise in South Pavigiv   4 , QLD, Australia, May 2023
I think the boat was too crowded. Hard to join in some activities. Lack of room and/or poor room set up. Service was exceptional. Food was acceptable. On shore excursions were the highlight for me. Tracey was amazing and I have already recommended Global Journeys to my friends.
Barrier reef cruise   3 , WA, Australia, Apr 2023
Global journey did a great job - clear and quick communication, that's why we are back! Thanks Jemma. The holiday was beautiful, Queensland has a lot to offer, we loved the ports, live music and cocktails, dance classes and yoga. Food was great.
Great room with balcony     2 , NSW, Australia, Mar 2023
We really enjoyed the room that was given to us by Global Journeys. As well as the 5 day cruise to Tangalooma wrecks. We will definitely book with them again.
Australia Day 2023, P&O Cruise. 3 Nts. Pacific Adventure.     10 , NSW, Australia, Jan 2023
Hannah C. looked after my booking for this cruise. Nothing was a problem. Hannah recommended us taking a 'Guaranteed Cabin', which means we only got notified a few days prior to departure. We were very pleased to have got cabin midship on Deck 12! Ship took us out to sea for 2 nights, very calm seas and lovely ship and staff. Crew and staff all wore ...read more masks.

Came back into our Sydney Harbour for Australia Day, and 'parked' not too far from our Prime Minister's residence. Could not get a better position. Watched the Tall Ships, Ferries etc race by our ship...and so many boats of every size and type cruising around our ship and waving to us, like Royalty ! (no doubt wishing they were onboard?) Over 2,000 passengers.

Went back out to sea, then returned to Circular Quay the next morning, for us all to disembark and go to our homes. A great alternative to standing on the shore, trying to see the events. One additional thing I did was to put the "Verifly" App on my phone. This information - Cruise/ Personal/Covid info/ Covid test results... ends up with 'Safe to Cruise tick', if all is OK. On checking in, just showing the app with this 'Tick + OK to Sail' meant we were put in "Priority Check In", and passed by the long lines awaiting check in -straight onto the ship. Worth considering if you're looking to cruise soon. Thanks to Hannah at Global Journeys - we really enjoyed this cruise.
My first cruise - Wow!     16 , VIC, Australia, Jan 2023
What a delightful first cruise experience with P&O! Everything was so well organised and the staff were so friendly. Our cabin was comfortable, and we enjoyed our balcony views. The theatre productions were top notch, and we loved the nightly music trivia and karaoke at the Explorer Bar. Gatsby night was a highlight! Will definitely go on a cruise again ...read more with P&O!
Average cruise, disappointing service.     7 , QLD, Australia, Dec 2022
The cruise was a really good short break, just what we needed. It was a nice break from everything, and we really liked not having to plan anything every day. The balcony in our cabin was great, larger than on other ships we've been on, and it got the sun for most of the day. The room was nice too, although the shower/bathroom was very small but adequate.

The ...read more food was below average, a little worse than what you'd expect from a Sizzler restaurant. Adequate but not great for a holiday. We expected a bit better. The service for drinks was quite slow, with long queues at the bar all the time. Queues were especially long at the adults-only area at the back of the boat, where we spent most of our time as the other pools had lots of families and kids.

Definitely dress up for the Gatsby Night and White Night. It was quite fun and the majority of people on board were dressed up from 5pm onwards. The comedy shows were good too.

Our phones managed to get some reception a few times a day while we were on board, mostly when we were on the top decks. This was good enough to send and receive a few messages and emails, but we were without internet most of the day, which was fine with us. Otherwise, you would need to buy the internet plan.

We had the full refreshments package, but it didn't include "Sparkling Water" at the restaurants, so we were charged for it. When we went to customer service to ask about the charges, they wouldn't refund it and told us we should have ordered "Soda Water" instead. This was quite disappointing. The staff doing table service should have told us when ordering.

All in all, the ship was ok and the people were nice. Food could have been better, staff and service was disappointing.

We were disappointed in that we asked friends to cruise with us and their rooms were very poor indeed. The rooms at the end of the ship had such serious vibrations that neither could sleep properly on several nights. The staff were great. The food was excellent. The trouble is if you get no sleep who wants to go? One couple was compensated with ...read more a free meal on the last night. I feel bad because I recommended the the cruise. It won't be happening again!
Sailing up the Queensland coast   19 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2022
We enjoyed our trip with P&O. The service, food, staff were wonderful. However, our cabin had severe vibration due to it's location at the back. Other friends on board did not have this and so if you can, avoid the room at the back.

Hannah at Global Journeys went above and beyond in her service. We were a bit complex but she got everything sorted and replied promptly to our emails. Would definitely recommend her to handle any future cruises.
