Machu Picchu was always on our “bucket list” and it did not disappoint. What a WOW. The Globus trip started in Lima with the usual main historic city highlights being visited, followed by dinner with our new travel buddies. Next morning we were on a flight to Cusco where our experience with the ancient Inca culture started. The tour guide was excellent ...read more and most of the included excursions were very good. Accommodation was excellent and the food enjoyable.

After a night in the Sacred Valley, we had two days and one night in Machu Picchu. A highlight for us was going independently back to Machu Picchu on the second day at 7am. The scenery was spectacular and with the intermittent cloud cover it was quite mystical. We then had two nights in Cusco before finishing off back in Lima. The local guide was also very good but he tended to overdo the story telling on the Incas stone work and religious history. Overall it was a great trip that will be remembered forever. Thank you to Georgie from Global Journeys for ensuring everything was organised.

The tour itinerary was well thought out. The tour director briefed us very well at the beginning of the tour, and kept us well informed daily. The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and approachable. We were impressed and satisfied with the whole tour experience.
