Your exploration of Prague begins with a tour of the World Heritage-listed Old Town. Travel across the Vltava River to Prague Castle, which dominates the city skyline. Believed to date back to the 9th century, this castle complex – with its network of palaces and churches – is considered the largest in the world. You'll then wander across Charles Bridge and arrive in Prague's Old Market Square. Stop for some time to explore if you wish and continue to discover the incredible city of Prague on your own terms, with its multitude of sights. (B)
Having become familiar with the layout of Prague, enjoy today at leisure to explore as you please. The Jewish Quarter is a pulsing hub of Semitic history, so perhaps you'd like to head there, or have your camera ready at the Astronomical Clock, a masterpiece in the Old Town Square. A tour of Terezin is also possible today, and tonight you may like to enhance your journey further with a lively traditional Czech Folklore Dinner and show. (B)

Today discover Slovakia's capital Bratislava, on a walking tour through the Old Town where you will see St Martins Cathedral, Primatial Palace and Main Square. You'll also visit the only surviving example of the original four entrances to the city, Michael's Gate. (B/L/D)
Embrace the elegance of Vienna as you drive around the Ringstrasse, taking in some of the city's most famous buildings. On arrival in the centre, a walking tour will provide an insider's view of sights such as St Stephen's Cathedral, the Graben and Hofburg Palace. Afterwards, maybe visit the Naschmarkt and browse the stalls.
This evening, you could enjoy an optional concert, featuring music from Mozart to ‘The Sound of Music'. (B/L/D)
Cruise to the town of Durnstein and enjoy a stroll past rustic town houses and taverns. Along the way, gaze up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned.
Later, dock in Melk and tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089. (B/L/D)
Today, you can choose to join an optional tour to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic or visit Salzburg and enjoy the iconic sights from ‘The Sound of Music'. Alternatively, enjoy the day at leisure in the historical city of Linz. Discover the vibrant charm of this culturally fascinating town on the banks of the Danube and marvel at the stunning scenery and historical landmarks. (B/L/D)
