Itinerary

Welcome to Canada. Upon arrival into Calgary, transfer to your hotel where you’ll meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers. Check in for an overnight stay at The Dorian, Autograph Collection Hotel.

Enrich: Today savour the sights and flavours of the Rocky Mountain foothills as you journey from Calgary to Banff. The food story of the Foothills of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, west of Calgary, is a remarkable one. The climate is harsh, winters are long and cold. And yet, a few hardy souls persevere to grow some of the tastiest food you can find.

Ramble the range roads off Alberta’s historic Cowboy Trail to meet some of Alberta’s premier food-producing families. You may get up close and personal with a giant prairie beast that came frighteningly close to extinction – the Great Plains Bison. Or meet a family that innovated a traditional honey operation into a thriving new enterprise. Enjoy a special Farm to Fork welcome lunch of exclusively local fare by an exceptional chef.

Finally, there is time to mosey around a small cowboy town before arriving into Banff where you will settle into your three night Special Stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs. (B/L)

You’re sure to be swept away by Banff National Park, the first national park established in Canada and a coveted World Heritage-listed Site.

Freechoice: Ride the Banff Gondola and take in the magnificent views or take a helicopter flight. Alternatively, enjoy a Bow River Float trip or a relaxing soak in the mineral pools.

Enrich: Head out at dusk on a unique wildlife spotting experience in search of Banff’s magnificent beasts. (B)

Drive through the Rocky Mountains, past mesmerising lakes and towering mountains en route to Lake Louise, famous for its turquoise lakes, Victoria Glacier and soaring mountain tops. Spend some time taking in the stunning surroundings then experience the wonderful tradition of Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Château Lake Louise. Enjoy delicious pastries, tea, sandwiches and charming desserts as you gaze out the table-to-ceiling windows towards Lake Louise.

Enrich: Meet a retired member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for an insight into the importance of the Mounties in Canada, past and present.

Return to Banff and your hotel for dinner.

Freechoice Dining: Choose from a range of restaurants located within your hotel. (B/L/D)
