	12 Day Western Wonders Thank you Yvonne for the opportunity of providing feedback. Tour 8510 was terrific, we had a ball! The Tour Director was informative, good fun & generous with his time & skills. He was professional in his work. The Tour Driver was also professional in his driving abilities, presentation & manners. It was a pleasure to be in their company & I always felt safe. I found the tour was well planned & at a comfortable pace. Travelling is challenging, especially overseas, however, I found the support & genuine concern of the Tour Director to be excellent. I appreciated the free time on the tour & it was time I was able to use it well. One suggestion I would like to make is to have a 'Meet & Greet', on the first night of the tour. I feel this would be a good ice-breaker. Thank you again for all your help & support, you are very good at your work & I would love to have the opportunity of booking a tour with you again. 	8 Day Highlights of the Canyonlands This Cosmos Canyonlands tour was absolutely fabulous. Our guide was top rate. He was very knowledgeable and a master at looking after the needs of the participants. He was funny, fun and noticed everything. The driver was such a gentleman. The particpants were great too - no complainers and everyone on time. The highlights of the canyons of the southwest of the USA were magnificiently beautiful and each one very distinct from the last. We saw The Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, The Antelope Canyon Slot Canyons, Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon. Beautiful, beautiful scenery. Our accommodation was perfect for each location as well. We were only a 10 minute stroll from the rim of the Grand Canyon. At Monument Valley we stayed in the iconic Goulding's Lodge which had picture perfect views form every room. Goulding's was where many old Western movies were made with John Wayne and others. Ruby's Inn was huge but offerred everything one could want including a Western show that included a delicious buffet meal. At Zion we stayed in a great recently renovated venue with cliffs both front and back. I would highly recommend this tour to others. Global Journeys made the booking easy. 	10 Day Dixieland & Rhythms This tour is hard to beat. Some of the inclusions such as the ticket to the Grand Ole Opry and Jazzfest featuring international stars such as Billy Ray Styrus, Billy Joel and Cliff Richards was an experience of a lifetime. I have travelled with Cosmos before and this trip maintained their high standards. I would recommend this to others without hesitation. 	13 Day Italy's Best I found from the first inquiry, to the easy booking process, the planning and then the trip itself, fantastic. Okay, the sights we saw, the places we visited, the food we ate and the wine we drank - top notch. But the other travellers (yes a whole coach load) and or tour director, Ingrid and our coach driver just made it an unforgettable experience. We never thought we could have seen so much of Italy, and from this trip, we wonder how many other sights/places that we haven't seen or heard about, even in our own backyard. We cannot praise this tour highly enough. Well done Cosmos. If we had to mention any negative issues - the accomodation was great, and although previous reviews mentioned they were too far from town, we found that by the end of the days travelling and sightseeing, location was great. The hotels, some were old and needed upgrading, particular the bathrooms. Internet/wi-fi not easily accessible enough. Some of the hotels used were breathtakingly beautiful. 	6 Day British Panorama We were very impressed with the knowledge of our guide. He knew the answers to all our questions. Our coach driver was also helpful and we felt very safe with his driving. I would recommend this tour to everyone. We had a great group of people on the coach and exchanged email addresses with quite a few people. Will be keeping an eye on all future tours! 	15 Day Jewels Of Italy Very interesting itinerary and a lot to see. Seat rotation on the coach should be more strictly enforced to avoid conflict within tour members. Front office staff in Toscana Ambassador Poggibonsi are very unfriendly and lack of service. Hotel in Venice too far away from all the attractions. Free wifi should be provided in all hotels. 	8 Day Jewels Of France Tour director Riccardo is excellent - very efficient in organisation, friendly and informative. Room is too small in IBIS Deauville. Generally free wifi should be provided in all hotels. The optional regional dinner in Amboise is only average and not value for money. 	13 Day Italy's Best I have always been interested in visiting Italy again (I had a brief visit some 15 yrs ago) however wanted to cover this great country in depth if that's possible on a limited time schedule? I have done the occasional tour in the past however generally travel solo. This holiday I thought it would be nice for a change to have someone else do all the thinking and organising. So after many hours spent investigating and general browsing on many sites with many enquiries of various tours I was becoming unsure and disorientated? thinking maybe I should just do my own thing again? Fortunately, I then stumbled across Global Journeys! I can honestly say I was a little sceptical at first due to the website layout being user friendly, being able to compare so many variations of tours and tour companies alike on a 'single website' and the competitive pricing offered! Global Journeys made everything so 'easy'! What's the catch I thought? there were none! All enquires and transactions were dealt with and answered accordingly with the latest up to date information being offered for the particular requests I had submitted. This in turn helped me immensely choosing the right tour for me. Enter Cosmos tours 'Italy's Best'!!! The tour covered all areas I have been itching to visit and they (Cosmos) sure have done a great job in doing so. Everything from transfers to options, schedules were spot on! Our tour director 'Ursula' was just so fantastic, nothing was ever a problem whilst always being a fun, positive (also serious when required)and an extremely informative person on 'Italian' facts, figures, customs to name a few... (yes, its her job, however she did it well with so much passion for 'her' country making the whole experience so much more interesting like you weren't just 'visiting' Italy, you were living' it!!!) Apart from the great cultural experience, I have come away from this tour feeling like I have had a well deserved break which was well overdue! Due to Cosmos taking care of all the essentials required when travelling, all that was required of me was to have a great time! Which I did! I have been so impressed with Global Journeys, I have passed on my high recommendations to several people I know who are in the process of looking at tours in the coming months (believe me, I don't recommend easily) Again thank you! 	13 Day Europe's Highlights We really enjoyed this tour. The tour director was so knowledgeable and very helpful offering lots of advice about places to visit and shop at in our free time. The bus driver was a very skilful driver and I felt safe the whole time we were on the bus. The tour was very fast paced with lots of early starts, but we were prepared for that as we picked the tour for the amount of places it went to in 2 weeks. Most of the hotels were nice and we usually got a good breakfast, the Paris and Rome hotels were not up to the standard of the others, as both looked a little tired and run down. We were moving so often that it really wasn’t an issue as the rooms where basically only somewhere to sleep and freshen up. If you want to see a lot of Europe in a short time I would highly recommend this tour. If you want a relaxing, slow paced holiday or have problems with mobility then this is one is definitely not for you. 	9 Day Prague, Vienna & Budapest This was a 'taster' tour - a brief overview and introduction to several European cities. It was well thought out, with adequate breaks from the coach driving and several two-nights in one place stops, which helps it it feel less like you are always packing and unpacking. Everything was well organized as our coach driver and tour director (Anna) were both very pleasant. Anna was full of information and always willing to help. She was very patient with stragglers who were late back to the coach, juggling the needs of the many with the lateness of a few very well. The only negative was that the DVD player of the coach broke so we couldn't see everything Anna had to show us. 	27 Day European Masterpiece I had a fantastic time, the tour was excellent and so much fun. As for the tour director Chris Muffett we could not have had anyone better than him, he was so informative and provided really interesting facts about the places we went too, he ensured that the tour ran like clockwork and everyone was enjoying themselves. 	8 Day Six Countries, Venice & Paris Our tour guide Gordana was just brilliant so informative and couldn't do enough to make everything right for us. Was disappointing though in the aspect that arrival at some places was in dark so didn't get to properly visit or see the actual city. Would like to do a more leisurely tour in the future. 	13 Day Grand Tour Of Turkey It has been an absolutely wonderful tour of Turkey. Turkey met all my expectations and more. Accommodation and meals were faultless. The tour provided an exceptional insight into the country and the sightseeing built into the tour was so amazing. I would most certainly travel with Cosmos again and have no hesitation in recommending Global Journeys to everyone. My daughter and 14 year old grandson traveled with me and their sentiments are the same as mine. It was my grandsons first trip overseas, he can't wait to go again. 	9 Day The Splendors Of Italy Overall, the tour was a good highlight of Italy, well organised with a knowledgable tour guide. Although I thought the optional tours were overpriced and a few of the hotels lacked tea and coffee amenities which was a bit of a surprise. I would go on another tour but I probably will not do any optional tours and I would recommend bringing your own flask and tea and coffee. 	21 Day The Grand European This was our family's first experience with visiting Europe and using a coach tour company. We found the trip to be well organised and our email bookings through Yvonne and Georgie went smoothly - thank you. The trip fulfilled our expectation of seeing some key places in a large portion of Europe. We were also able to see many of the famous architectural and historic sights our friends had told us about. Highlights for my family were numerous. We really enjoyed the Rhine River cruise in Germany, the sight seeing cruise on Lake Lucerne, the spectacular cable car ride on Mt Titlis in Switzerland, walking around the canals in Venice, the Colosseum and Vatican in Rome, the unreal leaning tower of Pisa and the medieval fortress at Carcassone. We will never forget our beautiful scenic drive through Spain, Christmas Day in Barcelona, and our thoroughly enjoyable visit to Toledo. Memories of Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower in Paris will stay with us forever. One aspect we really enjoyed were the visits to key places in each major city; for example, the diamond factory in Amsterdam, the glass blowing demonstration in Venice, the leather goods factory in Florence, and the perfume factory in Eze. We would never have known to go to these places if we were travelling by ourselves. We knew our tour would only be a quick look at Europe, but we already know the places we'd like to re-visit, and the new places we'd like to see on our next trip. Hotels were generally 4 star. Breakfasts were great, and evening meals OK. We saw some amazing and wonderful sights, and met some interesting and friendly people in our group of mainly Aussies. Our three sons aged 21, 20 and 17 had other young people of similar age to mix with. Our entertaining coach driver, Georgio, was an expert. The tour guide, Billy, spoke seven languages and took us to some noteworthy and interesting places. He provided us with an interesting commentary while we travelled, and also took the time to get to know each person in our group. Initially we had been uncomfortable with the 'tipping' idea, but were glad to leave them both with some extra money for a job well done. The only difficulties we experienced were with our evening vegetarian meals (the chefs didn't seem to know what to serve us) and one unexpected coach breakdown (which was quickly and efficiently remedied). All in all, our tour was a memorable experience and we have turned our photos and film footage into a family movie to remember it by. Well done Cosmos and Global Journeys! 	15 Day Spain, Portugal & Morocco Kathy and I did the Spain, Portugal and Morocco tour soon after completing the Cosmos tour of Central Europe. We enjoyed both tours very much. I personally prefer a group size up to a maximum of 20. Our second tour had 40 people. The tour covered a vast area and we saw and experienced a great deal. We always enjoy meeting people in new countries, sampling their foods/drinks and learning about their culture and history. We would love to spend more time in each of the places we went to. 	8 Day Six Countries, Venice & Paris This is our first time to join Cosmos tour. As this is our first time to visit Europe, it was really a good value for money. Our tour director is very helpful in every way. He had given us all the information needed in every place that we have been. He had suggested the best place for shopping and reasonable price to eat lunch at reasonable price but the food are most of the time fantastic. Our driver was very helpful as well. I would strongly recommend a Cosmos tour especially for first timer. If I will have the chance to visit Europe again, I will surely use Cosmos again. 	15 Day Cosmopolitan Europe The tour seemed great value and by including most of he optional excursions we kept busy and saw many wonderful sights. A cultural issue occurred due to the mix of nationalities, but the Tour Director took it in her stride and handled it smoothly and professionally. The coach was comfortable and roomy and the accommodation exceeded expections - even included a 5 star hotel on one night. 	13 Day Italy's Best The Tour Director Mattia and Bus Driver Domenico were brilliant. The tour itself was good, the only frustrating and niggly thing about it was there so many optional parts to pay along the way and one or two dodgy hotels we stayed. One would think there could of at times had some of these optional tours being included in the Tour Package Costs. That would have made the tour excellent. 	13 Day Europe's Highlights Wonderful trip. Our tour director and driver both did an amazing job. Our local guides were also very knowledgable. Time flew by really quickly as it was only 13 days and we went to so many different places. Though we did spend a lot of time on the coach, we were also given free time in most cities to do whatever we wanted. Accommodation was mostly great but the one in Rome wasn't quite on par with the others. It would've been great if one of the included dinners was on the final night (not optional) so that everyone could attend. Otherwise, it was a great trip. 	27 Day European Masterpiece Had a wonderful time on the tour. We had a very large tour group of 48 people so well done to our tour director Patricia who was enthusiastic and had us all laughing a lot. Rocco our driver drove us expertly wherever we went and with a good sense of humour. We met some wonderful people and made new friends. Highlights for us at this time of the year were we got to see the Christmas markets and decorations in Austria, snow on the nearby hills and on the side of the road. We experienced dinner on the sidewalk in Rome, delicious kebabs at another little place in Athens. We took a river cruise down the Seine. We found that by taking only some of the optional excursions and doing some of our own we were able to experience a city better. Many of the optional excursions were too rushed especially the dinners and the Vatican, our tour guide was not one of the best. This tour doesn't visit the Eiffel tower - only stops for a photo. Travel time to Spain for only 2 days in Barcelona was a bit draining and nor does the tour see any of Nice which was disappointing. The tour doesn't stay long enough in Florence, only a few hours as arrival is quite late the previous evening. Four days of travel time including more than 48 hours on a ferry to see Athens was a definite low light. To get a better experience I would recommend combining a few different tours rather than one big one. Most of our hotels were close to the city and in some cases right in the centre which was good as its dark by 5.00pm at this time of year. 	27 Day European Masterpiece I found Cosmos to be a great tour company. The hotels, breakfasts and provided meals were all far above my expectations. The coach driver and tour guide were friendly and helpful. The tour, European Masterpiece, gave us the opportunity to see so much of Europe in a short time. My husband and I had a fabulous time and would recommend this tour and Cosmos to anyone. Will certainly be using Global Journeys and Cosmos for our next tour. 	10 Day New York, Niagara Falls & Washington DC with New York Extension I thought the Niagra Falls stay was a little too long, the coach had WiFi which was a bonus. Hard to really judge the tour as we were evacuted from New York due to Super Storm Sandy. The tour guide kept us informed and made sure that we all departed to the tour safely. The tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and very approachable. 	27 Day European Masterpiece I don't have enough space to tell you how much we enjoyed both our tours. The England Scotland Heritage tour was an eye opener and as luck had it the weather put on a perfect show for the eight days we traveled. We loved England & Scotland and will go back one day to finish looking at what we missed, especially Scotland where a lot of my heritage is. Totally recommend it 100%. The European Masterpiece tour on the other hand was another story, absolutely flat stick from start to finish. Our tour director Chris Muffett was excellent. Once everyone settled in to the tour and realized what an honest gentleman he was. Cosmos or most Tour Companys treat their Tour Directors with a sort of light contempt (my opinion) as they work damn hard and take on board the whingers and flack, short tempers and also put up with poorer accommodation in some instances. Around 14 countries in 27 days, 8000 km and 47 people, plus director and driver. Donato our Italian Driver was polite, courtious and an excellent driver. He looked after our luggage and extra's without one complaint. The tour was mind blowing and overwhelming in the same breath. When you study history at school (52 years ago as we did), then to see it in real life was a sight and experience in a league of its own. To finish up with I got sick in Venice and for the last 10 days was battling the flu of some sort. I still finished and missed only a few things, but kept up with the tour. Would not have stopped for anything. Just to close I will give you an idea of how the tour ended up. Our last meal in Amsterdam was in a Michellan Star resturant. We convinced our Chris & Donato to have dinner with us where we could thank them for their assistance, direction and above all honesty. At Calais when we left Europe there was only one person out of 47 that did not either shake hands or hug and kiss either of them. We all arrived back at our hotel in London and once again all 47 people before going our own way said goodbyes with tears and hugs. I can honestly say that after 27 days of living in each others face there were 47 friends at the end. Once again thank you to Chris our Tour Director and a very special thank you to Michelle, of Global Journeys who organised our trip in less than a month, with very short notice and not one hitch or hiccup in the 6 weeks we travelled. Our accommodation in England was excellent and transfers were all looked after. Thats about the shortest way I can describe and thank you for our holiday. Thanks a million. 	11 Day From Rome To London Excellent tour guide and driver and interesting mix of fellow passengers. Optional tours mostly good value; most hotels good; included meals sometimes a let down. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, due in most part to our exceptional tour guide (thanks Iris). Compliments all round. Good service from Global Journeys. Could not book extra night in one hotel through Cosmos (via Global Journeys), but easily able to do it myself on internet. 	21 Day The British Isles In Depth I did the last British Isles In Depth tour of the season and had an absolutely fabulous holiday. The tour guide Matthew and driver Dai were the best. The accommodation was fabulous and we were lucky enough to have the best group of people to enjoy our holiday with. The itinerary was excellent. 	12 Day Highlights Of Germany The tour was excellent, very well organised and planned. All the locations visited were wonderful and memorable. The staff on the tour were very friendly, experienced and efficient, even offering after hours transport when located in out-of-the-way locations and included ample advice on suggested local activities outside the organised tour. Accommodation was of a consistent standard with some quite basic hotels but still very comfortable and restful. Also we had a great fun on the tour and enjoyed travelling with the vast mix of other tour participants. 	10 Day Jewels Of Morocco Katie and I both enjoyed this tour. The accommodation was overall good, some hotels were much better than others. We had a last minute tour guide who was excellent. Katie speaks fluent Spanish and commented 'I have never heard a Spaniard speak such good, clear English.' His knowledge of Morocco was also excellent. The coach was great as was our driver and apprentice driver. All of the city tour guides were also excellent. I wish I could go again as Morocco was an amazing experience. 	27 Day European Masterpiece The Cosmos 27 day tour was better than I had imagined. Our tour director, Xenia, was absolutely fantastic. She was informative, funny, caring and incredibly organized which made our tour one that I will always remember with great fondness. It was a very busy tour, lots of walking and plenty of variety. I thought the optional excursions were well researched and very much appreciated by all who participated. Loved every country we visited, the history, the uniqueness, the people, the food. I thought the daily distances in the bus were manageable and I appreciated the rest stops along the way. A 27 day tour gives tourists opportunity to get to know each other and enjoy each others company. This we did extremely well and much to my delight, I have made some lifelong friends. Things to consider - the hotel in Bordeaux, really disappointing. The ferry trip to Greece - too long, isn't there a boat that takes less time? Then we could spend more time in San Merino. 	21 Day The Grand European We were initially a bit nervous about taking a tour as we had heard stories from other people/reviews. However, the tour was wonderful and we were lucky to have really great people in our tour of 48. We all got along really well. The tour director (Marianna) and bus driver (Antonio) were a great team. Marianna was very knowledgeable and helpful, she would point out a few main points for us to explore during our free time. We would definitely recommend the tour to first timers as it was a great way to see Europe in a short amount of time and some of the lesser known places were real gems we wouldn't have discovered. It was so good to skip the queues too! The local guides also really added to the experience as we got to hear the history behind the sites which we wouldn't have if we just did the trip ourselves. A few of the hotels were not that great but on the whole we can't complain. At times the tour felt a bit quick, but overall the pace was great. The optional tours did add up, but really enjoyed them to bond with our group and to see more than just the main attractions. A shame that one of the Eiffel tower lifts were broken so we didn't get the optional excursion to go up the Eiffel tower. Our coach was really comfortable and you could definitely feel the lack of space when we boarded the local buses. 	12 Day Leisurely Tuscany & Rome With Sorrento Extension Great tour. Everything was well planned. The Pinet Palace was not very good. The tour Director Gianlucca was amazing and went beyond and above for all areas of the tour. I would go again if i had him. The coach driver Uri was excellent. The optional excursions where great and well organised and greatly enjoyable. The food was good and the Tuscany dinner was really fun. Accommodation was beautiful at Florence at Montecani and the service was great. The Sorrento extension was well organised except we wasted a day not being picked up from Rome till 2pm amd then coming back 8am at the end we really only had two days there. 	23 Day Trans-American Adventure The tour was excellent. Our Tour Director Jason was great, a lot of fun and really informative. He said that we had gone at the best time of year, weatherwise. We had beautiful weather, with many places having the autumn leaves turning, which made for some great photos. As a solo traveller, if you can afford to pay the single supplement for your own room, it is well worth it. Unlike the European tours where you get a single bed, this tour gives you at the minimum a queen size and sometimes a king sized bed. The accommodation was great (3.5-4 stars). Its just a shame breakfasts weren't included each day as I think a lot of people would have paid a little bit more to have that. In Philadelphia as soon as I got off the coach I grabbed a taxi which took me to the Art Museum so I could run up the 'Rocky' steps and then have my photo taken with the Rocky statue. Corny, I know, but it was fun. I jumped back in the taxi and was taken back to the old area for some historical browsing. Chicago is a city that surprised me. I don't think I would have ever considered visiting it, but it was a part of the tour. It was beautiful. The parks had some amazing sculptures in them and it was so clean. Its definitely worth a look. You are very much on the go, but because you are on the tour you don't really have to line up for anything you just go straight in and its so well organised that you see more in the limited time that you're there, than if you were to spend time there by yourself. This was the third Cosmos tour I've done. In 2011 I did the 16 day Best of Europe followed up with the 12 day Best of Great Britain and Ireland. I know that Cosmos is considered to be a budget tour, but the people you get on the tours are so much fun to be around and its such good value for money, that I personally wouldn't travel with another tour company. 	13 Day Italy's Best We had incredible customer service from Frances Carr, right from the beginning, dealing with our queries, through to booking and finalisation. Nothing was too hard. Our trip went off with no issues at all. Including extra nights accomodation and airport transfers. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, The Best of Italy. It truly was the 'Best of Italy'. This tour covered everything we wanted to see, accross all of Italy. Our tour director, Mattia, was knowledgable, funny, courteous, polite. He made our trip very enjoyable. The coach was spacious, modern and comfortable. And the coach driver was friendly. The pace of the tour was moderate, with a good mix of local tours and free time to explore on our own. Hotel experiences varied greatly. From very old, outdated and small, some were average and one was very luxurious. Though all were clean with a hot shower and comfy bed. That's all that matters. 	21 Day The British Isles In Depth I spent a great 21days touring England and Ireland a trip that was filled with excitment each and every day. The hotels were great except the one in Plymouth and Brighton. A great bunch of people on the tour and everyone got on well. The Tour Co-Ordinator Rosanee gave us a running commentary on each place that we visted, I must commend her as her knowledge was vast and to now have that knowledge is even better. We will go back to Bath and Edinburgh exciting places. I am now going to go ahead with the 19 Day Tour of Europe. 	15 Day Grand Tour of Britain & Ireland Excellent, no way could we have seen and experienced so much in such a short time, trying to navigate, roads, finding hotels, organising meals, trying to read to find out historical information, getting directions. And just wondering whats worth seeing. On a tour you have great company, so there is always someone to talk to other than you partner so you don't get board or frustrated with each other. I must mention our tour guide and driver knew their stuff so well that made life so easy for us. Doing it in a high coach we were able to see over the million hedges right through the UK they love hedges, so if you were touring in a car you would have been totally robbed of the amazing views we had in the high coach, some other tour companies did not have such high coachs and would have missed out. Of the 12 or so hotels there was only one that was shabby and that was mainly in the hallways the room was not too bad, when you travel in UK things are often very English and sometimes very old and historical, and of course maintained to the decor the hotel was built in which I think is nice, if I wanted Ikea style modern I would have gone to elsewhere. 	11 Day From Rome To London I was very impressed with our Cosmos tour, which was from Rome to London. I had little expectations, due to the cost in comparison with other tour companies, but it certainly exceeded my expectations! The hotels were great, the bus was brand new, the included and the optional excursions were fabulous! I was impressed with all of the above! The only thing I found disappointing was the tour seemed as though it ended at Calais, France. We said farewell to our Tour Director and Coach Driver in Calais and departed for England. We were told by our Tour Director we would be met by another Cosmos Representative in Dover, which we were, but this was only to direct us to the right bus for London. We were then driven from Dover to London with no Tour Director and even no communication, straight to our hotel. I felt this was a let down on Cosmos' behalf because London was not included in our tour whatsoever. Besides the London part of the tour, it really was an amazing journey. We were lucky to have some great people on tour with us, who made it even more special. 	23 Day Trans-American Adventure We have not long returned from our Trans-America Adventure Tour which took us from New York to LA with 42 other fantastic Aussies. Doris, our Tour Director was an absolutely delightful lady who was highly knowledgeable of the places we visited, kept us informed and entertained and looked out for our every need whilst on this 23 day tour. Michael our bus driver was also great, greeting us daily with a warm smile, keeping us safe whilst travelling and ensuring our luggage was delivered to and from our overnight accommodation. Accommodation was varied from 4 star hotels down to quaint log cabins but all were great to stay in, comfortable, clean, well located and memorable for all the right reasons. If you want a holiday that takes you from one side of the USA to the other with everything from big cities to magnificent canyons, forests, lakes, mountains and deserts and the bonus of seeing wild life in their natural habitat then you won't be disappointed. Finding Global Journeys on the internet was also a bonus for us. We have never experienced better customer service than with this company and we cannot thank Frances Carr for her professionalism and great service. If I needed to ask a question my emails would be answered within minutes and if I chose to call she always returned my calls as soon as she was able. 	13 Day Imperial Capitals It was a last minute decision to book this tour and Frances organised everything completely fuss free. The tour itself was well beyond my expectations, I couldn't believe my luck. Despite being a relatively low cost tour the hotels were of a very good standard (only a couple not as good as the others but certainly good enough and a couple were 5 star). Some meals and tours were also included, adding to the value for money. The destinations were spectacular, my fellow passengers a good mix nationalities and ages with everyone mixing well. 	5 Day A Taste Of Scotland This was a badly organised tour. Most of the tour was in the bus with very little time at the destinations for walking around. Most of the stops were only toilet stops. When we arrived in Edinburgh we were given 3/4 hour to have a meal and toilet stop then get back on the bus for the drive to our hotel. The hotel in Edinburgh was 20 mins out of town, which meant there was no opportunity to just wander around the city. This was the same in Glasgow. The tour guide read any local information and this became just a history lesson. I think this tour could be better organised so there is not so much distance between stops. The bus driver has to have a break every 2 hours and this usually took place on occasions at service stations. Scotland is beautiful and I think more consideration should be given to stops. Even at Gretna Green there was a museum and we had no time to look at it. 	19 Day Canadian & Alaskan Masterpiece OMG...what an awesome trip. We just loved everything about Canada and Alaska. The Rocky Mountaineer was fantastic, the coach tour unforgettable and the cruise up to Alaska was breathtaking! I would recommend this tour to anybody who is thinking of visiting Canada and Alaska. 	8 Day Six Countries, Venice & Paris I had the most wonderful time, our tour director Adam van der Heijden was a very informative director with lots of local knowledge. 	27 Day European Masterpiece A fantastic overview of most of Europe neatly fitted into 27 days. An excellent itinerary with lots of included sightseeing & local tours, yet the ability to include optional tours that interest you. Majority of hotels great with Sorrento (Central Park, Massalubrense) below standards. Suggest optional tour to Mt. Titlis be much longer as not enough time on mountain. Our tour director, Leo Zaal was the perfect guide & definately made our trip unforgettable! We were worried about taking 2 kids (11 & 13 years) but they had a terrific time (thank you Leo for making this happen). We would definately travel Cosmos again. 	9 Day Irish Explorer We went on two tours the first in September, doing the Irish Explorer tour. Both the Director Kevin Murphy and Jim the coach driver were very professional. This tour was all that we expected, great hotels, fantastic knowledge for the different counties. Kevins poems, short stories and songs made it at rip to remember. The optional tours were well balanced. Our second tour in October 15 was European Masterpiece , this tour was just as fantastic, a credit to the Cosmos staff. 	23 Day Trans-American Adventure The tour was very diverse and good value for money. The Tour Director was excellent and every day had maps for us of the area we were travelling in. She was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Mary was the best tour director we have had in the many trips we have done. For a no frills tour the accommodation was good with only a couple of exceptions. I still don't know why Cosmos take you to the north rim of the Grand Canyon when the south rim is infinitely more superior and awesome. North rim is ho hum. This tour covered the big cities, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles and in between we saw awesome national parks, small towns, prairies and mighty rivers. Lunch and comfort stops were timely. 	13 Day Imperial Capitals The sights were everything we hoped they'd be - incredible!, and the tour gave us a taste of lots of fascinating places that we might like to return to for a longer stay in the future. It was well organised and the tour leader made sure everyone knew what was happening. She was very knowledgeable and went to great lengths to make sure everyone was ok. The accommodation was generally excellent, with Europe's financial woes leading to several very classy hotels being available for this more budget tour. We shared hotels with Globus on several occasions. Excluding London the hotels were mostly 4, although I think the Hotel Budapest would be pushing to get 2. It's all part of the experience though. Some of the hotels were quite out of the way and getting to the city without the assistance of the tour bus was too inconvenient, but I think this was balanced by them being nicer hotels. The passenger demographic was mostly 40's - 60's. As a couple in our early 30's, we found that we wanted to strike out and do our own thing at a slightly faster pace on the free days and were able to do so easily. I would have liked to see some more exciting optional tours as the ones offered were very sedate, being mostly city tours and traditional-style dinners. The tour pace was slower, the passengers more mature and the ambience more relaxed than Contiki. In September the weather was a gamble that worked in our favour with only two drizzly days. The days were still quite long and warm plus the bulk of the summer crowds had died down. Although we enjoyed the tour, we decided to end it early in Berlin and fly directly back to London instead of spending the last two days on the bus driving to London. I'm glad we did, as other people from our group we met later said they wished they did the same thing. As we suspected, the last two days of the tour were very long driving days without much sightseeing and if you're on a tight time-budget it's a bit more expensive but much better value flying back and spending extra time exploring London. I would highly recommend this tour to people who want a taste of some amazing architecture (and sausages!) and seeing many glorious attractions and cities that seem straight from fairy tales. Booking through Global Journeys was fantastic. I was a little hesitant at first because I'm in Western Australia and couldn't physically visit Global Journeys, but Georgie provided me with excellent service and answered all of my questions promptly and in detail. The price was the best I could find anywhere online. I would be more than happy to book with them again and recommend them to friends. 	13 Day The Best Of Spain & Portugal This was my first tour ever!! It was much better than I expected. Right from the booking through process, till we finshed the tour, the whole process was very easy and user friendly. I loved that there were optional tours as well that you could choose to do. The bus driver, the tour director and all the local guides we met were very friendly, courteous and informative. My only suggestion would be to review some of the hotels, not because they were not up to standards but because of renovations happening inside the hotel or around the hotel. It kind of takes away from your holiday experience. Another suggestion would be to pace your payment schedule. I would have loved to do the Jewels of France as well while I was on holiday there but both payments were due at the same time and absolutely no leeway to pay later! So you guys missed out on a sale! 	13 Day Treasures Of The Balkans & Transylvania This was a great tour and terrific value for money. Having a tour guide (Simona) who grew up in Romania added to the quality of the tour. Each day had several highlights and many beautiful cities were experienced. A couple of things need to be looked at. The accommodation was generally very good. However having the final 2 nights in cheap former communist hotels soured the end of the trip a little. Add $50 to the cost of the tour and upgrade the accommodation on at least one of the final nights of the trip. The last day involved a lot of driving and not many attractions. We drove straight past a salt mine and it would have been fantastic to visit it as my wife enjoyed a similar experience on her Cosmos Poland trip. Again increase the price of the tour or make it an optional excursion. All in all a wonderful holiday leaving us with a lifetime of unforgettable memories. 	22 Day Pacific Coast Explorer with Alaska Cruise Extension The tour is well paced with the two day stopovers and covers a lot of beautiful diverse country. The tour guide can make or break your tour and in our case he created a great atmosphere where he got everybody to participate and it was your fault if you didn't have a great time. 	8 Day Jewels Of France The tour guide Rajah absolutely made this tour. She went out of her way to be helpful. Her knowledge of French History was brilliant and in each town she walked us through to our meeting place with commentary all the way. She was funny, happy and enjoyed our company too! The pace was just right and allowed for free time. The accomodation in Paris at the Berthier Hotel was ok - good breakfast & near underground but not a good area as it was very dirty. 	27 Day European Masterpiece I enjoyed the European Masterpiece tour with Cosmos especially with 90% Australians in the group of 49. We had a great tour director & driver which made all the difference, and a co-operative and friendly tour group. The optional tour dinners and included dinners were generally disappointing except for Olympia. The worst being Auditori in Barcelona where it was inadequate. The included tours were minimal and you need to join the optional tours to see more of the iconic sights. Overall it was a great enjoyable experience but this tour does not suit those who are unable to walk longer distances or climb stairs. It is quite fast paced but I coped well. Thanks. 	27 Day European Masterpiece The European Masterpiece tour gave us all that we wanted and that was to get a taste of Europe by visiting as many countries as possible in a given time. This has now given us an insight as to which European countries we could return to. This being said the tour was rated toward leisurely but could be upgraded one notch. Maybe the tour could be extended by about 3 days as toward the end we were doing long days in the bus and arriving late (7pm) at our next destination which would then only be overnight. Our tour director Truss was just fantastic and did all she could to assist and guide and provide information even down to whether ladies could wear heels or flatter shoes. The number of people on the tour could have been smaller, we had 49 and believe that 35 to 40 would be a better size. There were plenty of optional extras to choose from which were good value. We have come away from this trip with some extra friends. The majority of the accommodation was great, all was comfortable and clean, some just a bit squeezy. 	21 Day The British Isles In Depth Now that we have been home for a while and been through the photo's, we are enjoying the trip even more than when we were there. Sorry to say we were disappointed with the trip at the time - it was too intense, not enough time to really enjoy the townships and too much time in souvenir shops (which we are not interested in). A lot of times we were taken to the outskirts of the towns so that you didn't have enough time to even walk in and have a look at the township, but when we did get to visit the towns they were great. Our tour guide did a lot of talking and repeating himself, made a lot of mistakes with pointing out positions of things (he would say to look right and the object would be on the left etc.) he said that he had been doing his job for over 20yrs so he should have had it right by now. There was one place on our itenerary that we were not even taken to and it wasn't until the day we were supposed to be going there that we were told that we would not be taken there as it was closed 3yrs before hand. Accommodation was great on the whole, there were a couple of not so good places but all in all it was fine. Meals were great bar one night when we had what could only be classed as a cheap cafe meal. We were all disappointed that we did not get the time to go into Stonehenge or have the time to do so, but glad we got to at least stop and take photo's over the fence. So yes, there were some disappointments but we would never have seen as much as we saw if we had not done the trip. We have a good idea where we would like to go back and see and I think that this is really the purpose for a trip like this one. As I said at the beginning, we are really enjoying the photo's and re-living the good times so I am glad that we did the trip. 	16 Day Southern Italy & Sicily The tour on the whole was excellent. The Tour guide, JP (GianPaulo), was fantastic, he worked really hard to ensure everyone had a great time. We were lucky, the group on the tour were very friendly and easy going. Mostly the accommodation was good. Accommodation in Sicily was questionable, especially at Syracuse and again at Raggiomanio (sorry, may have the spelling wrong). While everyone enjoys seeing ruins and ancient sites, perhaps it should be looked into at visiting say farming communities or fishing villages. Most of the tour believed also that the optional excursion for the last afternoon in Palermo, should not be optional, but included. We caught a ferry that evening from Palermo to Naples. For those who did not take the tour, they did not have a room to return too and had to wait in the lobby area of the hotel - most of the day. Also, the ferry from Naples was incredibly noisy. Again, most of the tour believe that in a way we were ripped off for a day by the trip from Naples to Rome. This day was taken up by getting off a ferry, an awful breakfast at a cafe at the port, then bus to airport, drop people off and wait for people from another tour to join us to be transferred back to Rome, plus waiting for the bus. This was called a 'tour day' but really was a wasted day and could be better planned by Cosmos and Globus. Likewise for the first day in Rome, the hotel is a long way from the centre of Rome, there is a Metro, but we are restricted by a tour meeting. That hotel, the staff were not welcoming nor helpful and it was noisy. However, some negatives aside, we had a wonderful tour, and enjoyed it. It was not fast paced which was great, there was ample free time, and we loved having porter service for our luggage. And as I have said above, the Tour guide and bus drivers were fantastic!
