SafetyNet Protection Policy

Should I include SafteyNet when booking my trip with Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways

What is SafetyNet?

Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus, Cosmos & Avalon Waterways offer a SafetyNet Protection Policy, for AU $95 per person (payable at time of deposit).

The "SafetyNet Transfer Protection" enables passengers to amend their tour and or river cruise up to 24 hours prior to the tour departure date to another tour departing in the same year, (once only) without any applicable cancellation charges or penalties OR you can utilise The "SafetyNet Cancellation Protection" which enables Globus & Cosmos passengers to cancel their tour in full – up to 30 days prior to the tour departure date, without any applicable cancellation charges or penalties.

Globus SafetyNet Protection Policy

Globus

SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour deposit and is payable per person per booking (not per tour) and is non-refundable.

The SafetyNet Transfer Protection and SafetyNet Cancellation Protection applies to the tour, associated pre/post accommodation and transfers booked directly with Globus. The SafetyNet Protection does not apply to any airfares booked and ticketed via Globus, any optional excursions or any products purchased via another wholesale or retail supplier. The SafetyNet Protection does not apply to any service charge or cancellation fee charged to you by Global Journeys.

Passengers can only use one of the two SafetyNet Protection Policies; choose either the SafetyNet Transfer Protection, or the SafetyNet Cancellation Protection, not both.

For example: If you use the SafetyNet Transfer Protection to amend your tour (say 48 hours prior to the original departure date) to a later Globus tour departure date, then you cannot use the SafetyNet Cancellation Protection to cancel your Globus tour in full without incurring the applicable cancellation charges or penalties – as per Globus brochure terms and conditions. SafetyNet Protection does not apply to group bookings.
