Thank you Georgie for organising our tour, accommodation and transfers in New York, promptly and efficiently. Booking and confirming details was easy and you were very contactable. All went well and we had a great trip. I will definitely use Global Journeys for any future trips and I have no qualms in recommending you to my friends, as I have already done so. The only disappointing glitch was the Super Shuttle, which I would not recommend as we waited over an hour to be collected from the airport and then another two hours getting to the hotel. Other travellers had similar experiences. We decided to take a cab on our return transfer to JFK. This was our sixth tour with Trafalgar and definitely the best. The itinerary, the hotels and included meals were all excellent. but what made it that extra special was our tour director Ben Conte and our coach driver Jose Cardona and of course our fellow travellers. Both Ben and Jose work well together and both are very friendly, approachable and passionate about their country. Well done Trafalgar, we'll be back!

A very enjoyable and well run tour. The Tour Director was excellent, keen, hard working and knowledgeable. The itinerary was comprehensive and well paced and a lot of accommodation and meals were really excellent. Transfers along the way were very efficient. Opening night welcome cruise was outstanding. Points of critique: drinks at some chosen venues (both included and optional) were very expensive - would be good if Trafalgar could negotiate better deals as they bring big and consistent business to these establishments; irritating that included transfers at start and end of tour are only usable if arriving and leaving immediately adjacent to tour. Will certainly use Trafalgar again.

I have an amazing time from start to end of the tour. Our tour director Linda has had a lot knowledge of the the places we have been in to. The coach driver Jose was indeed keep us safe on the road all the way through. I will recommend this trip to all my friends and to all everyone out there. The tour was fabulous we had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Linda was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to please everyone. There were places we wished we could stay longer but that's with every tour. The pace was hectic but manageable. Accommodation was excellent. The tour gave a great insight to the places visited with local guides in a few places. The only negatives I have was I think with the price paid some of the optional dinners should have been included and 52 people was to many. Trafalgar advertise max 49 with average only 40.

It was a happy day for us when Georgie contacted us (after non contact from other agencies) about our East Coast tour. She tied it in beautifully with our previous tour of the western side of North America. This tour was very well organised, and our tour director and coach driver were both very professional, and had every aspect of our tour organised. They also threw in a few little surprises, which seemed to please everyone - e.g. (Harley Davidson factory in Pennsylvania, and 'Boston' cream pies for all for afternoon tea). The quality of our accomodation was A1, and one of our 'heritage' hotels even had some resident ghosts, although none of our party encountered them!

We believe that all 'hidden' costs should be included from the outset and paid for up front and prior to departure. These include airport transfers, a glass of wine with evening meals and tips for the guide and driver. We had a great group of fellow travellers and our Guide, Ben Conte was one of the best that we have ever had (and we have had many). The itinerary would only be improved by more two night stopovers and extending the tour and increasing the price - we appreciate that cost of the tour is a prime factor in deciding to tour and that some may be deterred but there are many who would be attracted who appreciate a more relaxed pace to savour stop-overs enroute.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our Tour consultant, Georgie, was excellent - helpful in every way. Organisation was very efficient and travel arrangements went without a hitch! Tour was engaging - good tour group, excellent tour guide - very good local guides, coach was comfortable, pace was fine. A couple of long travel days but necessary. We returned home last night full of wonderful memories of our trip. Besides the Trafalgar segment we travelled throughout other areas of USA and Singapore which proved exciting. Now to the Trafalgar side of things. Arrived New York as scheduled and booked in to the Marriott East side which you had arranged. This went smoothly after the long flight. Following day we meet our Tour Director Ben who was to prove a hugh success for our experience. The trip was a wonderful journey for Judith and I and we met great people. If you were to ask me the highlights I would definitely say Washington DC and Niagara Falls. Don't get me wrong it was all great. Ben was a most informed Director and he lifted our interests through his continued detailed knowledge of the areas visited. We had a TV crew with us on some days preparing a TV campaign for the Morning show on behalf of Trafalgar. This will air on Channel 7 June 17th to 21st and will no doubt have some snippets of the tour. The only comment I would make that we all would like to have had more 2 night stops and less of the one stops. However I do realize that to travel the distances we did this would be hard to do. Trafalgar do it right and as this was our 3rd trip with them I am sure you can see we are more than happy with them. Georgie I found your service in arranging this for us to be most professional and may I say a sincere thank you for all you did. You are our travel person for our future trips! Again our sincere thanks for your service to our requirements.

East coast USA & Canada - Great trip. Travelling solo first time overseas and decided to do a tour as part of my holiday. Excellent vacation director - fun, informative, organised. Fellow travellors also fun, open and good to be with. Was able to spend time alone when I wanted and join with others for meals or walks etc. Paid the 'single supplement' which added to the cost but well worth it. Stop overs and accomodation were excellent throughout. Was a reasonably paced tour but very manageable. Overall, great fun. Would I do a Trafalgar tour again - absolutely. Booking (via the internet with Global Journeys) was effortless and easy. Consultant answered emails promptly and I was comfortable using this organisation.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was well-paced and balanced; the range of places and both the inclusions and additional activities were excellent. It was good to have options for the additional activities, we took most but chose to skip a couple and ejoyed doing something else instead. With any tour there is always the sense that you would like to have more time, or more free time, in some places, and that there was always so much more you could do or see, but within the constraints of a group tour with a tight schedule to keep, it was very comprehensive. The group leader and driver were both highly professional, totally reliable, informative and good people to travel with, keeping us fully informed and handling any issues easily in a friendly manner. The accommodation a very high standard and the included meals were very good. We were fortunate to travel with a very pleasant group of people - the group size, at 52, was large, but people (almost all Australian) got on well and without hassels. Obviously this is not always the case. Overall, a very professional, enlightening and comprehensive tour and good value. It might be important to emphasise more in the promotion of this tour that it does NOT include an extensive coverage of New York - a few people expressed disappointment about this and had not taken the advice to book in a few extra days there.

Will the coach be modern and comfortable?

Are tips included?

Trafalgar Tours has pre-paid certain tips and gratuities for you such as all baggage handling at hotels and ports. Tips to restaurant staff for meals are also included in the price of your tour. Tips are customarily given to your Tour Director, Driver and Local Guides at your discretion. The recommended amounts are: Tour Directors $4 per day, Drivers $2.50 per day and Local Guides $1 per day. The option to prepay these tips prior to departure is possible. Airport Transfer Information

With Trafalgar you will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers by scheduled shuttle, minivan, private car, or taxi between designated airports and Trafalgar hotels on the scheduled starting and ending day of your tour. We regret that we are unable to provide complimentary transfers for anyone arriving before the scheduled starting day of the tour and/or leaving after the scheduled ending day of the tour. You may however purchase these transfers from Trafalgar provided that you also purchase your extra night(s) from Trafalgar.
