If unfavourable conditions exist, a walking tour of the scenic tunnels will be substituted.

Then, head into the Black Hills and behold the granite faces of MOUNT RUSHMORE, a giant monument to four American presidents-Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt.

“Great overview of cities and scenic attractions”

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip across the USA, we were lucky enough to travel with 46 great people from the UK, Aus, and NZ. Some of the days spent on the road were quite long, but we were covering huge distances so was to be expected. Our accommodation was highly satisfactory with regards to comfort and cleanliness. I do feel though that that location in LA should be changed to a more touristy area. Allison, our Tour Director was very knowledgeable and funny and made the trip interesting during time on the coach. Jeff, our Coach Driver was brilliant, kept us hydrated and candied-up as well as being a fantastic driver. We were very happy with the Optionals we chose to do. My only reservation is that I feel the tour itself needs to be slightly longer by 2-3 days. The consensus on the coach was that we needed another 2 night stay somewhere or make Las Vegas and Chicago 3 night stays.

“Excellent Trans American Adventure tour experience”

We thoroughly enjoyed the 22 day tour with Cosmos, bookings organised for us by Global Journeys' Yvonne in a very efficient manner. The tour director Doris Walker was very informative, organised and well looked after the needs of the 40 on our tour. Her smooth operation and wit along with Craig's excellent driving skills and courteous attitude made it easy for us to focus on the viewing of the seven plus national parks which were breathtaking and some beautiful small towns and a few large cities. Most of the hotels we stayed in were good except the one in Pierre which was below the standard. Overall a very positive experience and happy to we took this particular tour to USA.

“Very well organised and operated tour.”

We had a great time on this tour which was led wonderfully well by Doris, our Tour Director, who even made the hours in the coach interesting when there wasn't much scenery to look at. Niagara Falls, Ford Museum, Grand Canyon and all of the National Parks were among many, many highlights of this tour. Excellent value for money and we met some lovely and very interesting people within our group, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends. Thank you Doris and Michelle at Global Journeys.

“Wonderful experience.”

This is our third holiday with Cosmos. This one was amazing, the places we thought we would never see if travelling by ourselves. Our tour director Susannah was excellent as was our bus driver George. Our fellow travellers were warm and friendly. Anyone thinking of doing this tour should have no hesitation, especially the chuck wagon cookout. A wonderful experience!
