Next, visit lovely Honfleur, known for its picturesque port and houses with slate- covered facades. Continue to Caen. Today's Distance: 186 mi/ 300 km (B/D)

Time to see Caen before visiting the legendary beaches where Allied troops landed more than 75 years ago. Experience the most moving site of the American Cemetery at Omaha. Next, journey to Bayeux, home to the famous tapestry, listed by UNESCO, depicting William the Conqueror's epic battle in 1066 (entrance fee extra). Then, on to the unique beauty of Mont St. Michel, which stands on an island accessed via a causeway. Today's Distance: 118 mi/ 190 km (B)

Fabulous France 1 , QLD, Australia, May 2023
This was the 1st of 3 tours booked with Georgie at Global Journeys. This is a fast paced, busy tour. There were 44 of us on this tour including 6 solo travellers of which I was 1. Some hotel rooms I had a single bed in a small room with barely enough room for my suitcase on the floor. However, clean rooms and hot showers and usually fabulous breakfasts ...read more made for a pleasant stay. We saw and did a lot, be prepared to explore by yourself as sometimes to see anything of the town you were staying in you had to venture out by yourself or with fellow travellers.

Several times we were at locations early in the morning (before 10am) and sites and shops were not always open. Lunch breaks were sometimes rushed trying to fit as much sightseeing in as possible as well as lunch, shopping and finding bathrooms! Very good Tour Director: Camille (fun and full of energy) who always provided maps and marked them up with directions. Coach driver: Tom, very safe driver, very clean coach.

I really enjoyed the French countryside, My favourite place was Chenonceau chateau in the Loire valley. Paris at the end of our tour was extremely busy. I felt this tour provided a great introduction to France.
Second trip with cosmos 1 , NSW, Australia, May 2023
France is great, lots of historic buildings and gardens, just marvellous. Unfortunately public toilets are very few in my view. Learned how to use their public transport which was on time mostly. Hotel accommodation was not great, really small rooms, some air-conditioning wasn't working. Tour director was good, tried to cheer us up with her singing ...read more too. We made some good friends, trying to keep in touch with.
Interesting trip of much of France   1 , WA, Australia, Oct 2022
I really enjoyed seeing so much of France until I became ill and had to leave tour. The countryside was so pretty and we saw so many interesting sites. It was nice to go out independently and sample local meals at restaurants or at patissieries etc. I met so many nice people on the tour and I missed them all when I had to end tour early. Only real ...read more complaint besides one not very good included meal was it got a bit hectic at times though there was time to rest on coach or at the hotel. Also I was prone to getting lost but once I got local SIM card I had Google maps which helped. I have a lot of great memories of the tour.
Grand Tour of France 1 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2022
Great tour provided by Cosmos with informative tour director and excellent driver. Great included sights as well as optional inclusions.
Grand Tour of France 5 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2019
Our Grand Tour of France was excellent, the tour operator was very good and the coach driver was also very good. The tour itself was very interesting, Normandy landing beaches, Monte St. Michel a lovely island Abbey then down through the wine country. Nice and Monaco were wonderful and back up to Paris. This would be a great tour for anyone wanting ...read more to see a lot of France with value for money.
Wonderful France 4 , SA, Australia, Sep 2019
I have been to France before with Cosmos (booked through Global Journeys) but this tour gave me a good insight into the whole of France. All the places I visited were beautiful and interesting. I went in September, good time of the year as it was not too hot and the group size was only 26. Small group, good mix and all got on well with lots of laughter. ...read more Our French tour leader had a wealth of information; this gave me an in depth knowledge of France. Will definitely go with Cosmos and book through Global Journeys again.
