Koressos, then spend the rest of the day at leisure.

This evening you may consider joining an optional dinner at a local restaurant in Izmir and indulge in some of the local raki. (B)

Leave the coastal city of Izmir behind as you journey inland to Pamukkale. Relax and enjoy the blissful thermal pools at your hotel before dinner. (B/D) Stay: Colossae Thermal

The other-worldly landscapes of Cappadocia take center stage today as we explore its volcanic landscape dotted with caves and troglodyte dwellings. • Cappadocia: During construction a chapel was discovered which inspired the name; In ancient Rome, it was called 'Exedra', which means the meeting and discussion place of philosophers. The rooms are individual in design at Exedra Hotel hewn out of the surrounding rock and houses. Many handcrafted and antique pieces are on display throughout the hotel adding to the unique architecture that connects the buildings.

Trafalgar tours in Israel and Turkey 2 , WA, Australia, Sep 2022
We love Turkey more than Israel, we travelled with Insight Vacations some 25 years ago, love it then and love it now. A lot to see with ancient sites. great cites, fantastic roads and lovely people. Turkey is good value for money, cost of food, services, goods are very moderate to good for an Australian dollar exchange. The climate was good in late ...read more September - early October 2022. We've been travelling for over 45 years and have rated Turkey as a bucket list destination. Trafalgar ran the tour here with most meals and all site tickets were included. The tour director was a very good " CEM". Trafalgar should make ballooning in Cappadocia as an option for the travelling guest.
Terrific Trafalgar tour of Turkey 4 , NSW , Australia, Jul 2019
The tour was terrific, the guide Gem Tas - outstanding knowledge and native speaker, quality English. The accommodation generally was EXCELLENT - as were the meals - only one place had average rooms and a poor meal.
Well thought out itinerary and informative tour 0 , WA , Australia, May 2019
A good itinerary, the guide was knowledgeable, however was too patient with some of the guests who were continually late or went missing. The restaurant choices were also good however I did not appreciate dining with cats running under the tables and begging for food. The Turkish countryside was green, mountainous and ever changing which made for pleasant ...read more driving through.
Excellent trip, very professional travel director and driver. 2 , WA, Australia, Apr 2016
Trafalgar made the trip safe, comfortable and memorable especially in today's political environment. I would certainly travel with Trafalgar again. Most of the hotels were excellent. Some, as to be expected, we're not of the same high standard as The Marriott for example. Travelling through Turkey by road is a great way to experience the country. ...read more I ave travelled to many countries and Turkey would gave to be one of my top 3 destinations.
Definitely recommending this tour 2 , NSW, Australia, Dec 2014
It was incredible seeing Turkey - even in Winter! The tour days were filled morning to night - reasonable travel times between cities - with plenty of good, included sight-seeing during travel. Our tour guide - Alan - was an archaeologist with excellent insight into the ruins and histories of the places visited. All in all, the best tour we have ever ...read more enjoyed! However, we could have missed the time 'touring' the 'shopping' places - leather, jewelry, carpets etc as, although the information given may have been good - the products were pricey and not really of interest to most of us - particularly with high-pressure sales people following one around. Would have preferred that time in the afternoons in each city to be able to explore a bit (as there was very little time for that most days) on our own. With the exception of one hotel, accommodation was excellent. We are definitely recommending this tour to others interested in exceptional value and a thoroughly enjoyable tour.
Definitely good value for money! 1 , Australia, Jun 2014
I enjoyed this tour very much! The hotels were of the great quality, the tour guide was very intelligent and information he provided was very interesting. Visited great places in Turkey - highlights for me were a cruise in Antalya, ballooning in Cappadocia, and a Bosphorus river cruise. Definitely good value for money! Thank you!
