The Croatian 1 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2022
First up, thanks to Jemma and Hannah at Global Journeys who managed to bring a trip originally planned for 2020 back to life in 2022. This was a well balanced tour that combined group activities along with free time. The guided tours were informative, especially the tours at Pula and Zadar. I particularly liked the way the tour combined the history ...read more of the country (from the Romans to the venetians to the Hapsburgs and onwards) with the geography of the country.

It is a beautiful country with landscapes that vary from the mountains to the lakes at Plitvice to the Aegean Sea. There is a lot of walking on this tour, so pack some good walking shoes, especially for the caves at Postojna. The quality of the accommodation was very good and, with the exception of Dubrovnik, close to the centre of town. Both guide and driver were excellent. This is my third trip with Globus and I'll certainly book with them again.
Great tour of Croatia 0 , WA, Australia, Aug 2019
We enjoyed our tour with Globus. The tour was well paced with plenty of free time. We travelled in the last week of August. I would recommend doing this tour in mid to late September as it was very hot on most days. Georgie from Global Journeys was extremely helpful during the booking process. And I really appreciated her prompt responses to any questions ...read more I had before we travelled. Thank you.
Excellent trip with helpful and knowledgeable guide 2 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2019
We greatly enjoyed the whole tour. It was a good combination of history, culture, beautiful sights especially along the Adriatic sea, new experiences and pleasant company. The guide Mishka was very helpful and knowledgeable, giving lots of useful and interesting information along the way. He ensured that everything went smoothly. He managed the large ...read more group extremely well and there were no problems. We generally had enough time at each place, with some free time, and instructions for meeting were very clear. Mishka was helpful with suggestions for our free time, and was able to answer questions about history, culture, relaxation, meals etc, and did not shy away from the tension between different ethnic groups in the area.

The optional tours were good especially Bled, but the Medieval Trsat and Volosko was disappointing and not as described in the literature. The included meals were average to excellent, and we were able to try some local specialties. The beautiful hotel to end the tour at Dubrovnik was very special with magnificent views, lovely pool and private beach, and amazing breakfast with every possible delicious food and even Prosecco to drink! I would certainly recommend the tour.
The Croatian Tour, Lovely Country   6 , WA, Australia, Jun 2019
Travelled with 43 fellow passengers on this tour, from Australia, NZ, UK and USA. Coach was excellent but no spare seating. Highlights of the tour would be Postojna Caves, Pula, Zadar and Split and the Diocletian's Palace and the water front. On the downside the Tour Director was terrible. We also had a change of hotel in Opatija (lower Grade ) without ...read more notice. The drinks served with meals were ONE only very, very small glass of wine, small beer or small soft drink!!! Overall we loved the countryside and historic towns and villages, and the pace of the tour. Will not forget our late night swim in the Adriatic sea at Zadar. Enjoyed the optional excursions, sunset cruise and dinner, Konavie valley, Alpine Bled. Thanks Jemma at Global Journeys for answering all our queries.
Thoroughly enjoyed our coach trip 5 , Australia, Jun 2014
We thoroughly enjoyed our coach trip. Our tour director Helena was extremely efficient and a lovely person. She had everything running very smoothly. We were hesitant about booking a bus tour but after this one being so enjoyable we would consider doing another one. There was a good blend of places to see. If I was to criticize anything it would be ...read more the dinner on the final night in Austria - the venue was extremely crowded with lots of tour groups and the meal and service very average. Besides that we had a wonderful holiday.
Exceeded expectations 4 , Australia, Jun 2014
Low point re food: lunch at Montenegro. Tour guide friendly, experienced and helpful. Coach driver did not make much effort to be friendly so was largely ignored by everyone. Accommodation better than I expected it to be. Overall trip was also more interesting than I was expecting.
